Responsibilities

About the RoleThe Infrastructure team plays a critical role in supporting TikTok’s rapid expansion by designing, building, and operating hyper-scale data centers and cloud solutions. As a Data Center Security Operations Lead, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our physical and operational infrastructure, ensuring resilience, scalability, and security across our environments.

• Lead on-site security operations across data centers and network Points of Presence (PoPs), including incident response and vulnerability remediation
• Act as Incident Commander during security events and serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all security-related issues
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security controls, policies, and operational processes
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance electronic surveillance and access control systems
• Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing requirements for security operations
• Collaborate with program managers to deliver security initiatives, optimize operational performance, and meet financial targets
• Drive continuous improvement in security strategy, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center security operations
• 3+ years of experience in risk management and vulnerability assessment within data center environments
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively across teams
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to perform effectively and within tight deadlines or budget constraints
• Experience with security systems such as Genetec, Lenel, or Avigilon
• Knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC) development and management
• Familiarity with access control and surveillance systems (e.g., AMAG, Software House, Hirsch, S2, ACS, VMS, IDS, CCTV)
• Relevant certifications in security systems or operations are advantageous
