Job summary

XTX Markets in Kajaani, Finland seeks a highly skilled Datacentre Operations Specialist to support its multi-megawatt colocation data centre.

You will oversee day-to-day infrastructure, automation, cooling, and power, participate in construction phases, and coordinate planned maintenance while staying available for on-call duties.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation Engineering and 3+ years in data centre operations, with strong English and Finnish communication.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of datacentre experience or related industrial operations management.
• In-depth knowledge of data centre infrastructure processes including power distribution, cooling systems (including Direct Liquid Cooling), automation/building management systems, fire tracing, and security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day datacentre infrastructure operations including automation, electrical, mechanical and running processes.
• Ensure 24/7 uptime and availability of the datacentre infrastructure.
• Develop and implement SOPs for data centre operations.
• Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance activities and inspections.
• Support space and cooling capacity planning to anticipate future growth.
• Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure resources with business needs.
