Job summary

SEB is seeking a Data Steward within Financial Crime Prevention to collaborate with data owners, product owners, and technology teams. The role focuses on improving data quality, governance, and transparency across critical data assets used in transaction monitoring, due diligence, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting.

You will drive data controls, metadata and glossary maintenance, and support data lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data stewardship, and data quality management.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical data controls and governance solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., BigQuery).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data controls and governance for critical data assets.
• Improve data quality, governance, and understanding across Financial Crime Prevention data domains.
• Collaborate with Data Owners, Product Owners, SMEs, and technology teams to enable data-driven insights.
• Support data lifecycle management and metadata management activities across data areas.
