Job summary

The City of Helsinki is seeking a data protection intern for a three-month placement in the Education Division, from October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. The role supports privacy work for schools and education providers and offers hands-on experience in data protection within a city department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law or Administration Studies.
• Currently enrolled in a master’s program at university or university of applied sciences.
• Basic Finnish language skills; English used to support tasks.
• Previous data protection experience and knowledge of the education sector are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review privacy documentation on educational software and applications used by the Education Division.
• Handle data requests from data subjects.
• Conduct legal case analysis and update data protection instructions and processes.
• Review sections of AI instructions intended for schools.
