We are looking for a data protection intern to join our team for three months, from October 1st 2026, to December 31st, 2026.
This internship is designed for international students eager to learn Finnish while working. Our goal is to ensure that individuals from diverse language and cultural backgrounds can smoothly work in the city, and learn the language needed in their jobs.
As a data protection intern, you will be working in the data protection team of the Education Division. We support schools, daycare centers, and other education providers in the city with both data protection and privacy related matters.
In this role, you will be working with various tasks, among other things:
You should have basic Finnish language skills, as the main working language is Finnish, with English used to support your tasks. We will support your Finnish language development throughout the internship and expect you to actively engage in improving your skills in everyday work situations.

Your workplace will be in Kalasatama, situated in our new and modern workspaces next to the metro station.
The salary for this position is 1 880,37€ per month.

Please note that this data protection intern position is exclusively available to students pursuing their master’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences during the employment contract. Relevant fields of study include (but are not limited to) Law and Administration Studies. Previous experience in data protection and knowledge of the education sector will be considered an advantage.
