Job summary

Telia Finland is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support and develop data governance models, processes and practices. You will coordinate with business and IT to improve data catalogs, metadata and data lineage, while ensuring compliance and data quality across Telia's services.

The role requires 2–5 years in data-related work, a Master’s degree, fluency in Finnish and English, and strong stakeholder collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business administration, economics, information technology, computer science, or a relevant discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in data management, information management, analytics, reporting or other data-intensive tasks.
• Experience with data catalog, metadata and data lineage solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous development of Telia Finland's data governance models, processes and practices.
• Coordinate data management development with business, IT and Group Technology.
• Maintain and develop data catalogues, metadata and data lineage solutions and support their utilization.
• Support data owners and stakeholders in implementing data management responsibilities and requirements.
• Monitor development of data management capabilities, quality and documentation, and report observations and needs.
• Participate in development of data management policies, guidelines, standards and controls and their practical implementation.
• Support audits, risk management and compliance related to data management with security, privacy and legal teams.
• Act as an expert in development projects ensuring data governance is considered in design and implementation.
