Job summary

Telia in Finland is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to help safeguard and leverage customer data across services. You will work with business, IT and legal teams to implement governance models and ensure data is accurate, accessible and secure.

As part of a forward-thinking team, you’ll develop data catalogs, metadata, and lineage solutions, support data owners, and help meet audits and compliance requirements. Fluent in Finnish and English is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 2-5 years in data management, information management or analytics.
• Experience with data catalog, metadata and data lineage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and ongoing development of Telia Finland's data governance models.
• Coordinate data management initiatives with business, IT and Group Technology.
• Maintain data catalogues, metadata and data lineage solutions and promote their use.
• Help owners enforce data management responsibilities and requirements.
• Monitor data quality and documentation and report observations.
• Contribute to policies, guidelines and controls and their practical deployment.
• Assist with audits, risk and compliance activities related to data management.
• Engage as a Subject Matter Expert in development projects to embed governance.
