Job summary

Cerebras Systems seeks a Data Center Provisioning Engineer to provision, commission, and validate network infrastructure, servers, and related systems across large-scale data center deployments. You will collaborate with engineering, technicians, vendors, and operations to bring new sites online quickly and reliably.

The role requires hands-on provisioning and troubleshooting across compute, networking, OS, and automation layers, with strong Python/shell scripting and IaC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related).
• 5+ years in network device and server provisioning, data center infrastructure, SRE, or related field.
• Strong hands-on provisioning and troubleshooting across compute, networking, OS, configuration, and automation layers.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting with automation for deployment.
• Hands-on with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, cluster management).
• Experience with IaC and configuration management (Terraform and Ansible).
• Knowledge of PXE, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls, VLANs, LACP, BGP, OSPF.
• Experience upgrading firmware and PDU firmware.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provision and configure network devices, firewalls, and servers in data centers following documented processes and automation frameworks.
• Troubleshoot server, network, configuration, automation, and connectivity issues during provisioning and bring-up.
• Coordinate with engineering, technicians, vendors, and operations for timely site readiness.
• Support commissioning, testing of network connectivity, server readiness, and dependencies.
• Develop and improve provisioning processes, tooling, and automation for multiple sites in parallel.
• Perform post-deployment validation and integrate with monitoring and operations tooling.
