Overview

Are you a hands-on Data Architect who is passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, designing modern data solutions, and guiding organizations toward data-driven success? Do you have a can-do attitude and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to turn ideas into reality?

Here at Nortal, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our data expertise. You will work alongside top professionals in data and IoT development in Finland, collaborating with global data and software teams to design impactful solutions that drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Design modern and scalable data architectures that align with enterprise architecture, customer needs, and overall business strategy
• Define data strategies and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
• Establish and enforce data standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
• Design data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational processes
• Continuously explore new approaches and innovations in data solutions
• Lead by example, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure alignment
• Nurture a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Support pre-sales and solution design, contributing to customer engagements and proposals

Qualifications

• Experience in designing data architecture as part of overall enterprise architecture
• Knowledge of various data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses
• Experience with enterprise data strategies
• Experience with Azure and on-premise data solutions
• Experience in Spark-based lakehouse platforms, e.g. Databricks or Fabric
• Background in software engineering
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Fluent in both Finnish and English
