Job summary

Huawei Helsinki Research Center seeks multilingual Data Annotators for on-site work in Ruoholahti, Helsinki. You will annotate text and images, revise guidelines, and ensure data quality with careful attention to local culture.

Qualifications

Data Annotator (Image & Text), Helsinki Cloud Content Security Lab

Join us in protecting the online safety of Huawei mobile users worldwide!

The Cloud Content Security Lab at Helsinki Research Center is dedicated to driving technological advancements to protect the online safety of Huawei mobile users in Harmony OS ecosystem. We build advance AI detection solutions to ensure content safety such as harmful content detection and agentic AI safety. We are looking for detail-oriented Multilingual Data Annotators. In this role, you will evaluate, correct, and tag both text data and images to ensure AI systems operate with maximum linguistic accuracy and cultural nuance.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Text Annotation: Revise guideline and review multilingual text to tag labels, correct machine translated text in accordance to local culture.
• Image Annotation: Review and correct the bounding box around objects of interest in the images.
• Anonymization: Perform anonymization using internal tool and review the anonymized result.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor 's Degrees in Linguistics, Modern languages, Cross lingual Translation, Humanities or Cultural Studies, Cognitive Science is preferred.
• Attention to detail, meticulously follow detailed, rigid annotation guidelines to ensure data consistency.
• Strong quality mindset.
• Good teamwork, enjoy working with multi-cultures team.

Locations:

On-site at our Helsinki research center

This is a full-time (can also be part-time) consultant position based in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, where you will be employed by a Huawei external supplier. The contract period is 3 months.
