IQM is a global leader in designing, building, and selling superconducting quantum computers. IQM provides both on-premises full-stack quantum computers and a cloud platform to access its computers anywhere in the world. IQM customers include the leading high-performance computing centres, research labs, universities and enterprises which have full access to IQM's software and hardware.

IQM has over 280 employees with offices in Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Singapore and the US. We are looking for two talented Cryo Service Engineers to join our Datacenter Services Team. In this hands-on role, you'll be working directly with cutting-edge quantum hardware, supporting our internal R&D teams by taking over routine operations and service tasks.

You will be a key contributor to the reliability and performance of our cryogenic systems, helping to ensure that our quantum computers remain operational around the clock. This is a unique opportunity to grow into a highly specialized technical role at the forefront of quantum technology, while shaping the future of scalable quantum infrastructure at IQM.

What will I be doing?
  • Maintain and operate IQM’s internal cryogenic fridges and related hardware
  • Execute regular warm-up, cooling, opening, and closing procedures
  • Handle LN₂ filling and other maintenance tasks
  • Develop and maintain a service schedule aligned with R&D activities
  • Provide L1 incident responses, including outage and fault handling
  • Coordinate and execute sample changes, upgrades, and installations
  • Support cryostat builds and testing of new stations
  • Provide feedback to improve hardware design and serviceability
  • Work closely with R&D, infrastructure, and development teams
  • Ensure proper documentation, uphold safety practices, and support continuous improvements (5S methodology)
