Job description

Overview

We are seeking talents with some years of experience as well as senior level professionals in machine control systems and factory automation to join our team in Tampere.

To succeed, you have a specific interest in automation and machine control systems for various industry sectors, and you already have some experience in control system development.

You have good analytical and problem-solving skills and preferably hold a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Automation or Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar applicable area. You are fluent in written and spoken English, and in addition to that you are a team player with a customer-oriented approach and good communication skills. Finnish skills are considered an asset.

Your work location will be Tampere. Many project assignments also require some level of on-site work related to system acceptance tests (SAT) and application commissioning, so willingness to travel to some extent is required.

Knowledge and interests

We value knowledge and development experience in one or more of the following topics

• Machine control systems\' architecture design
• Machine control application design, programming, and commissioning
• PLC programming skills in one or multiple environments, e.g. Omron, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens S7, Codesys, using Structured Text

Advantages

• Experience of legacy PLC controls is appreciated while working in modernization projects
• General programming skills in other programming languages, especially in machine control application, HMI development and simulation model context
• Simulation modeling experience related to factory automation and robotics or mobile control systems
• Knowledge of simulation tools, e.g. VisualComponents or Matlab SIMULINK
