Job summary

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) seeks a Construction Site QA/QC Engineer in Kouvola, Finland to ensure construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications in line with Finnish regulations.

You will work with site management, subcontractors, and clients to maintain high‑quality execution across all data center project phases. The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field, 3–5 years QA/QC experience, and fluency in Finnish and English.

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site QA/QC Engineer to Kouvola, Finland to ensure that all construction activities meet defined quality standards, project specifications, and Finnish regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality execution across all data center project phases, working closely with site management, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site‑specific Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and other applicable standards
• Conduct inspections and witness tests for civil, structural, and architectural activities
• Ensure compliance with Finnish building regulations, standards (e.g.RT, RYL), and safety requirements
• Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams
• Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions
• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, reports, and inspection records
• Participate in site meetings and provide quality‑related updates
• Support handover processes, including documentation and final inspections
• Participate in site meetings and quality‑related reviews

What we expect from you

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in construction quality assurance/control
• Strong understanding of Finnish construction standards and quality requirements
