Job summary

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) seeks a Construction Site QA/QC Engineer for Kouvola, Finland. You will develop site QA/QC plans, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specs and Finnish regulations across data center phases.

The role requires 3-5 years in construction QA/QC, a relevant degree, and fluency in Finnish and English. You will coordinate with management, subcontractors, and clients to ensure high-quality delivery and proper handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in construction QA/QC.
• Knowledge of Finnish building regulations RT and RYL.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, AISC, BS, EN.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to identify risks and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific QA/QC plans.

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site QA/QC Engineer to Kouvola, Finland to ensure that all construction activities meet defined quality standards, project specifications, and Finnish regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality execution across all data center project phases, working closely with site management, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and other applicable standards
• Conduct inspections and witness tests for civil, structural, and architectural activities
• Ensure compliance with Finnish building regulations, standards (e.g.RT, RYL), and safety requirements
• Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions
• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, reports, and inspection records
• Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related updates
• Support handover processes, including documentation and final inspections
• Participate in site meetings and quality-related reviews

What we expect from you

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in construction quality assurance/control
• Strong understanding of Finnish construction standards and quality requirements
• Experience with inspection procedures, documentation, and audits
• Familiarity with international standards and codes (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, AISC, BS, EN)
