Job summary

CMC is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join the owner-side PMC team for a major AI data-centre near Helsinki, Finland. The role involves owning the commissioning strategy, overseeing design readiness through IST and handover, and coordinating with GC, vendors, and subcontractors on high-density, liquid-cooled infrastructure.

The position requires extensive commissioning leadership, strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• Extensive commissioning leadership on hyperscale data centres.
• Direct experience managing Levels 1-5 and IST.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience with liquid-cooled or high-density computing environments desirable.
• Ability to challenge GCs, commissioning agents, OEMs and vendors on behalf of the owner.
• Experience delivering projects in Finland or the wider Nordics advantageous.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project commissioning plan, execution strategy and integrated commissioning programme.
• Provide owner-side oversight of the GC, commissioning agent, vendors and specialist subcontractors.
• Review design documentation for commissionability, maintainability and operational readiness.
• Manage Levels 1-5 commissioning across electrical, mechanical, controls and life-safety systems.
• Oversee FATs, SATs, pre-functional checks, functional performance testing and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Coordinate commissioning of HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and electrical controls.
• Lead commissioning of liquid-cooled systems, heat exchangers, pumps, heat-recovery infrastructure and associated controls.
• Coordinate BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC and cause-and-effect testing.
• Maintain commissioning trackers, constraints, defects, test scripts, witnessing records and completion evidence.
• Integrate commissioning activities with the master schedule and construction programme.
• Drive structured handover to operations, including training, asset information and final documentation.

CMC is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join the owner-side PMC team delivering a major AI data-centre development near Helsinki, Finland. This is a technically complex programme incorporating high-density AI infrastructure, liquid-cooled systems, heat recovery. The Commissioning Manager will take ownership of the commissioning strategy and oversee delivery from design and construction readiness through integrated systems testing and final handover.

• Direct experience managing commissioning Levels 1-5 and IST.
• Strong understanding of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience with liquid-cooled or other high-density computing environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to challenge GCs, commissioning agents, OEMs and specialist vendors on behalf of the owner.
• Experience delivering projects in Finland or the wider Nordics would be advantageous.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• EU working rights or the ability to deploy compliantly into Finland.
