Job summary

Enko Group is recruiting a Color Imaging AI Research Engineer for a client, a leading global technology company with an R&D center in Tampere, Finland. You will research and develop AI models for computational photography, color processing, and ISP pipeline algorithms, spanning architectures such as vision-language models and diffusion transformers.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc studying towards PhD in computer vision, machine learning, signal/image processing, or associated discipline.
• Deep understanding of the theory behind ML and imaging technologies.
• Proven ability to build, train, fine-tune and assess deep learning models for vision tasks (e.g., generative AI, image/video restoration, 3D vision, multimodal learning).
• Strong Python and deep learning libraries like PyTorch and TensorFlow; ONNX and NPU optimization is a plus.
• Familiar with camera ISP and mobile imaging color processing algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop AI models for computational photography, image/video enhancement, color processing, ISP pipeline algorithms.
• Identify data requirements, guide collection and annotation, and build synthetic data pipelines for training.
• Identify model failure cases and develop targeted improvements for real-world scenarios.
• Prototype in PyTorch or TensorFlow; optimize for NPU-compatible deployment.
• Collaborate with imaging and hardware teams to define problems and deliver solutions.
• Stay updated on AI and imaging advances and translate into practical mobile imaging solutions.
• Research, design and implement color and spectral imaging algorithms to reach perceptual targets.
