Job summary

Brightly is hiring an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. You will manage and optimize client cloud infrastructures, focusing on reliability, security, and efficiency, and collaborate with diverse teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

You will work with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux and Windows environments, with strong emphasis on Azure and AWS deployments, and multilingual communication in English and Finnish.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud infrastructure and services.
• Strong knowledge of IAC, automation, and security practices.
• Hands-on with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (C#, Python, Java).

Responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure for various cloud services and environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for repeatable deployments.
• Manage and optimize cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) for reliability and cost.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and PMs to understand cloud challenges.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to automate deployments.

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Engineer, you will focus on managing, maintaining, and optimizing our client’s cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency. Therefore, you will collaborate with the various stakeholders and team members (including e.g. other Cloud engineers, Developers, Data engineers and Project managers) to help develop a deeper understanding of cloud challenges and opportunities.

• Developing infrastructure for different purposes (shows us that lessons have been learned, and some best practices have been found!)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Cloud Platforms: Azure (our clients are mostly using Azure and AWS)
• CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
• Containerization: Docker and related tools
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills are also required!
• Any additional IaC-tools
• AWS cloud
