Job summary

Touhula Hervannan Kampus in Tampere is seeking a Child Day Care Worker to join a team dedicated to safe, inspiring, and learning-supportive daily life for children. You will support growth, development and learning with families and colleagues.

You will participate in planning, implementing small-group and full-day pedagogy, and contribute to documentation and development of early childhood plans. A strong emphasis on interaction, environment safety and continual improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Compliance with the Finnish Varhaiskasvatuslaki for a child day care worker.
• Ability to build open and professional interaction with all stakeholders.
• Clean criminal record and infectious disease clearance as required by law.
• Willingness to try new practices and actively develop professional competence.

Responsibilities

Your tasks as a Child Day Care Worker

You are an important part of a team creating a safe, inspiring and learning-supportive everyday life for children. You participate in supporting children’s growth, development and learning together with the team, families and the entire work community.

At the core of your job is

• Pedagogy implementation: participate in planning and evaluating high-quality early childhood education as part of the team, using your strengths. Implement small-group and full-day pedagogy in line with Touhula Rhythm.
• Responsibility for your own small group: be responsible for your own small group’s activities and participate in pedagogical documentation and development of early childhood plans with the team.
• Care for the learning environment: ensure the group’s learning environment is diverse, safe and tidy.
• Positive customer experience: build trust and open interaction with families. Create a positive atmosphere that comes across in every interaction.

We offer a salary for a full-time employee in the range 2,449.58 – 2,749.79 €/month. The final pay depends on years of work experience and any job-specific or personal pay supplements.
