Job summary

ReOrbit is seeking a visionary Head of Systems Engineering to lead our high-performing systems engineering team and drive the end-to-end architecture of our next-generation satellite platforms. In this senior role, you will own system requirements integrity and ensure alignment across technical domains while mentoring a multi-location team.

You will apply ECSS-E-ST-10C and NASA SP-6105 standards, lead system-level V&V/IV&V activities, and steer trades and architectural decisions under

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in System Engineering teams for multiple spacecraft programs that successfully reached orbit.
• Full lifecycle expertise from design to in-orbit validation, including long-lifetime missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system engineering for space and ground segments with unified architectural vision.
• Define technical direction and drive high-quality system decisions across programs.
• Build, mentor, and lead a multi-location system engineering team.
• Own and maintain requirements integrity from customer needs through verification levels.
• Manage system budgets and ensure lifecycle consistency.
• Coordinate and align system-level efforts across Payload, AOCS, Propulsion, Flight Software, AIT, Operations.
