Chef for winter season 2025-2026 - Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort

Overview

We are looking for a professional chef to work with us during our winter season 2025/26 at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. Starting date can be flexible, but we wish you could start in November/early December and continue until end of March. Working time is 112.5 hours per 3 weeks.

What we are looking for

  • Ability to organize the kitchen with the needed cooking utensils and ensure all meals are prepared well in a timely manner.
  • Following recipes as per Finnish and International cooking standards.
  • Experience with cooking with dietary restrictions.
  • Experience in cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas in the kitchen.
  • Culinary school education is a plus.
  • Relevant previous work experience.
  • Good English language skills, so that you can communicate with your colleagues (our company language is English).

Personal skills

  • Professional attitude towards work - work can be hectic but we do not yell at our colleagues.
  • Handling guest complaints in a professional manner.

What we consider as a plus

  • Finnish hygiene passport
  • Driver's license
  • Additional language skills

The location of the resort is in the middle of nature, and you will have time to enjoy nature and try activities you might not experience elsewhere. A great team and modern kitchen tools will support your time here. It is possible to rent an apartment through us, so it is easy to join us from various locations. In terms of employment, we follow the Finnish collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry (MaRa), and the salary is according to the agreement, depending on the applicant's previous experience and education.
