Job summary

Skydio designs and manufactures autonomous drones and imaging hardware. In Tampere, you will test and characterize camera modules, design lab setups, and participate in image quality analysis or ISP tuning, with flexible hours as a part-time student role.

You will work on a Qualcomm-based camera software stack and develop measurements, data analysis, and visualizations to drive design decisions. Strong lab interest and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Studying toward a degree in electrical engineering, optics, photonics, computer vision, or computer science.
• Hands-on lab work with real hardware.
• Python or a comparable language for automating measurements, data analysis and visualization.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new lab setups and fixtures for camera and image quality testing, including the software that drives them
• Test and calibrate new camera modules against our requirements
• Analyze measurement data and turn it into clear visualizations and reports that steer concrete design decisions
• Depending on your interests: contribute to image quality analysis, ISP tuning, optics simulations, or development on our Qualcomm-based camera software stack
