Pet Valu is seeking a Bilingual Help Desk Analyst to provide customer and technical support for POS and head office systems. This hybrid role can be based in Markham, Ontario, or remotely from New Brunswick.

The position includes testing releases, tracking requests, and assisting with training on policies and procedures. Requirements include a High School Diploma, 1–2 years in help desk support, and strong French language skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• College diploma in technology or business-related field preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in help desk support.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Retail experience, preferably with a Point-of-Sale system (POS) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls from end-users (store, warehouse and head office) and troubleshoot POS and head office systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain and track requests/tickets using the call tracking software.
• Test new POS releases (Microsoft Dynamics Navision – LS Retail).
• Test store flyers to ensure correct promotional pricing at the POS prior to flyer release.
• Communicate testing results and bugs to appropriate teams.
• Initiate service calls for malfunctioning store systems including POS hardware and networking equipment.
• Follow-up to ensure proper closure of all tickets.
