Job summary

NestAI, a European AI lab for defence, is building the next generation of release pipelines and test infrastructure for autonomous systems. You will own a continuous delivery pipeline for edge software and bridge autonomy, connectivity, and platform software.

Join a team of engineers and scientists to drive CI/CD, release trains, and automated validation, including HIL environments, to bring features to drone platforms rapidly.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in software engineering, release automation, or CI for complex software systems.
• Experience expanding test automation, ideally with simulation engines, ROS, or virtual testing.
• Excellent communication; cross-functional Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer experience valued.
• Proactive self-starter who dives into code to solve problems.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and modern build/CI tooling.
• Docker experience for build automation and image registries.
• Familiarity with AI tools for efficiency gains preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Continuous Release Automation: Build and mature CI/CD pipelines to support rapid delivery cycles, including fully automated nightly releases across drone platforms.
• Expand Simulation & Test Automation: Collaborate with validation, simulation and DevOps teams on automated test suites and full-stack simulation and HIL environments.
• Software & System Integration: Integrate software components across autonomy, secure connectivity, and platform systems into coherent release candidates.
• Coordinate the Release Train: Facilitate cross-team planning and ensure clear communication and feature readiness along the agile release train.
• Hands-on Continuous improvement: Take direct ownership of integration challenges and dive into solving problems directly.
