Job description

Overview

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Assistant Lecturer (several posts) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 533044). The appointment is to commence as soon as possible on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

• Teach, conduct tutorials, and provide practical and clinical supervision in Nursing.
• Report to the Chairman of the Teaching and Learning Committee.
• May be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related discipline.
• Certificate of Registration (Part I) and valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration local clinical experience.
• Preference for higher academic qualifications and clinical teaching experience.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; capacity to work under pressure and multitask.
• Those qualified as Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) will be offered the title of Advanced Practice Nurse.
