Now we are seeking a skilled and driven Applications Engineer to support our teams in Espoo, Finland and in Danderyd, Sweden, that are working with advanced detector technologies used in Photon Counting CT systems.

This role is critical in enabling our OEM customers to successfully integrate and optimize our detector components within next-generation CT imaging platforms. You will serve as a technical liaison between our product teams and customers, ensuring high-performance implementation of photon counting technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Integration

  • Provide specialized support for customers integrating photon counting detector components into CT systems.
  • Assist in system-level troubleshooting, calibration, and performance optimization specific to PCCT architectures.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering solutions.

Product Development & Customization

  • Collaborate with R&D and product management to define and refine specifications for PCCT components.
  • Support validation and testing of new photon counting detector designs.
  • Participate in prototype evaluations and field trials with a focus on photon counting performance metrics.

Documentation & Training:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation tailored to PCCT applications, including integration guides and performance tuning manuals.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on real-world performance and reliability of components.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, preferably in CT or CT detector service/engineering.
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging-CT principles and detector physics.
  • Experience with semiconductor detectors, ASICs, and high-speed data acquisition systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events.
