Job summary

Fiskars Group is seeking an AI Solutions Builder to shape AI usage across its R&D organization in Espoo. You will work with product innovation, design and engineering teams to unlock AI potential, build internal tools, copilots, dashboards and workflows, and partner with IT on secure, scalable solutions.

This full-time hybrid role reports to the Senior Director, R&D. You will collaborate across disciplines, test ideas quickly, drive data-driven decisions and help teams adopt new ways of working

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying AI to engineering or product development.
• Experience building prototypes or internal tools.
• Familiarity with data governance and security.
• Excellent English communication.
• Understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities across Front End innovation, New Product Development and Lifecycle Engineering.
• Evaluate and introduce AI tools, technologies and workflows to improve productivity and quality.
• Develop AI-powered applications, agents, automations and workflows for engineering, design and project management.
• Build and improve internal R&D tools using modern AI-enabled platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into R&D processes.
• Support technology scouting, data-driven decision-making through AI methods.
• Train teams in adopting AI tools and best practices.
• Partner with IT to deploy scalable, secure AI solutions.
• Measure impact of AI initiatives and identify new opportunities.

Your mission is to unlock the potential of AI across the entire R&D organization by identifying opportunities, introducing new tools and workflows, and helping teams work smarter, faster and more effectively.

As part of our R&D organization, you will work closely with engineers, industrial designers, project managers, product data specialists and innovation teams to understand their work and create solutions that improve productivity, knowledge sharing, decision-making and innovation outcomes.

A key part of the role is building and evolving internal R&D tools, including AI-powered applications, workflows, and agents. You will collaborate closely with IT, which is responsible for the enterprise tools, technology environment, access, security and governance, while taking ownership of R&D-specific use cases and solutions.

This role combines AI technology, software creation, workflow design, experimentation, and organizational transformation. We are looking for someone who enjoys building practical solutions, rapidly testing ideas, and helping teams adopt new ways of working.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FISKARS GROUP

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI across Front End innovation, New Product Development and Lifecycle Engineering.
• Evaluate and introduce AI tools, technologies and workflows that improve productivity, quality and innovation outcomes.
• Develop AI-powered applications, agents, automations and workflows that support engineering, design, project management, and product lifecycle activities.
• Build and continuously improve internal R&D tools using modern AI-enabled development platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into everyday R&D processes and ways of working.
• Support technology scouting, knowledge discovery and data-driven decision-making through AI-enabled methods.
• Train and guide teams in adopting AI tools and best practices.
• Partner closely with IT to deploy scalable, secure and sustainable AI solutions.
• Measure the impact of AI initiatives and continuously identify new opportunities to accelerate R&D performance.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Product Development or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience applying AI technologies, automation or digital tools to improve engineering, innovation, product development or business processes.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering and AI-assisted knowledge work.
• Experience developing prototypes, internal tools, copilots, dashboards, or digital solutions using low‑code, no‑code or software development platforms.
• Proven ability to build and deploy AI-powered applications, agents and workflow solutions using platforms such as Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Lovable or similar development environments.
• Familiarity with product development, innovation, engineering, project management or lifecycle management processes.
• Understanding of data governance, information security, intellectual property and responsible AI practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English.
