Job summary

microTECH Global LTD is seeking a System Security Researcher to work on-site in Helsinki, Finland. The role involves researching and developing AI/ML solutions for platform security and applying ML to anomaly detection, threat intelligence, and access control.

You will contribute to security architecture research for future computing platforms and collaborate with multidisciplinary software, hardware and security teams while publishing research and driving innovation projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or similar.
• Strong understanding of neural networks, transformers and modern ML techniques.
• Experience applying AI/ML to real-world problems.
• Good understanding of operating systems and computer architecture.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Interest in industrial research environments.
• Security, cryptography or cybersecurity experience.
• Threat intelligence or anomaly detection knowledge.
• Low-level software development in C, C++ or Rust.
• Experience with hypervisors, embedded systems or OS internals.
• Hardware architecture knowledge.
• CTF or practical security research experience.
