Job summary

The University of Oulu invites applications for a two-year fixed-term Senior Research Fellow in Ethics in Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in AI ethics and collaborate with researchers across faculties within the Hybrid Intelligence community.

A key responsibility is to lead the Ethics Forum, shaping transdisciplinary ethical perspectives. The role includes research-led teaching and supervising postgraduate research, with a view to extending

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in a relevant field with a strong research track record in AI ethics.
Demonstrated scientific research experience and relevant teaching skills.
Ability to lead research and experience in acquiring external research funding.
Experience in international scientific work and collaboration.
Experience in cross-disciplinary research.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced research in ethics with a focus on AI ethics.
Lead the Ethics Forum and collaborate across disciplines within Hybrid Intelligence.
Provide research-led teaching and supervise postgraduate research.
