Job summary

The University of Oulu invites applications for a two-year fixed-term Senior Research Fellow in Ethics in Artificial Intelligence. The role focuses on AI ethics, leading the Ethics Forum, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across faculties in Education and Psychology, IT and Electrical Engineering, or Medicine.

The successful candidate will conduct advanced AI ethics research, provide teaching, supervise postgraduate work, and contribute to HI research community activities and external funding

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field and a strong research track record in AI ethics.
• Demonstrated scientific research experience and relevant teaching skills.
• Ability to lead research and experience in acquiring external research funding.
• Experience in international scientific work and collaboration.
• Experience in cross-disciplinary research approaches.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ethics Forum and conduct advanced research in AI ethics.
• Provide research-led teaching and supervise postgraduate research.
