Job summary

Witted Megacorp Plc is seeking an experienced AI Development Architect to join our freelancing network in Helsinki. You’ll be embedded as an in-house advisor on a client project to establish governance for AI-enabled development and build competence management models.

The role focuses on aligning R&D, vendor teams and internal IT with strict governance, risk management and regulatory requirements, with 80-100% allocation and some on-site work at the client premises.

Responsibilities

• Establish and refine AI, data and cloud development guidelines, including ETL guidelines for AI-generated code.

• Define and enforce guardrails and quality controls for code submissions and AI-generated code.
• Build onboarding pathways for internal and partner developers using learning platforms.
• Coordinate with R&D, procurement, data governance and external IT partners for clear ownership.

Looking for an AI Development Architect to join our freelancing network!

A client within the pharmaceutical industry wants to adopt AI-assisted development in a way that fits their governance and compliance requirements. They’re looking for an AI Development Architect to set up governance frameworks, define technical guardrails for development, establish quality assurance standards and build competence management models.

You’ll work as an embedded “in-house” advisor. The objective is to align R&D innovation, vendor teams and internal IT with strict requirements for risk management, data classification and regulatory compliance.

• Duration: 3-6 months




• Location: Helsinki, some on-site work at the client’s premises to be expected




• Language: English, Finnish is a plus




• Allocation: 80-100%

In this role, you will:

• Establish and refine AI, data and cloud development guidelines, for example ETL guidelines for AI-generated code, policies for agentic AI tool usage and GitHub Copilot frameworks




• Design governance models and risk evaluation processes for deploying AI technologies and non-EU hosted frontier models, with appropriate data classification




• Define and enforce technical guardrails and quality controls for code submissions, like automated PR checks and quality validation of AI-generated code




• Build competence management prerequisites and onboarding pathways for internal and partner developers, using modern document- and video-based learning platforms




• Work with R&D, procurement, data governance leads and external IT partners to ensure clear service ownership, vendor compliance and smooth handovers to business units

What we expect from you:

• Around +7 years of relevant work experience; ideally previous consulting experience in working with large Finnish organizations. Preferably also experience from regulated environments or with structured compliance frameworks (a strong advantage).




• Experience building governance and risk management frameworks, compliance processes and developer guidelines in large enterprise environments




• In-depth understanding of modern software development life cycles, AI-assisted development tools (like GitHub Copilot and AI agents) and code quality assurance methods




• Solid familiarity with enterprise cloud environments, data platforms and governance tooling, for example Azure, Databricks and Unity Catalog




• Strong communication and coaching skills with an advisor mindset, and the ability to align technical teams, R&D, external vendors and business leaders




• Ideally opportunity to visit client's premises in Helsinki metropolitan area on a weekly basis, and fluent Finnish and English skills.
