Job summary

Sanoma is seeking a Finance Specialist, Accounting & Reporting to join the Accounting Services team in Helsinki. You will lead monthly close, ensure statutory and tax reporting quality, and coordinate audits while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

The role offers a hybrid work model in Helsinki, with permanent, full-time employment and opportunities to improve processes and drive finance systems development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or similar.
• Five+ years of accounting or audit experience in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and tax.
• Fluent in English and Finnish.
• Basic IFRS knowledge is meritorious.
• Experience with SAP/S4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly month-end closing and timely financial reporting.
• Handle statutory and tax reporting for multiple legal entities.
• Coordinate with auditors and manage local tax audits.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other finance colleagues.
• Drive continuous improvement of local accounting, tax and reporting processes.
• Participate in finance development projects and system roll-outs.
