Job summary

The University of Turku invites applications for seven TIES2 Fellowship positions (Senior Researcher) for a three-year period starting from 1 September 2027. Fellows conduct an internationally excellent research project and may undertake 3–12 months of secondment outside the higher education sector while continuing to receive salary from the University of Turku.

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree by the call deadline and demonstrate engagement in international academic networks.

Qualifications

• Completed doctoral degree by the call deadline.
• Gained additional academic achievements are expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out an internationally excellent research project over three years.
• Spend between three and twelve months on secondment within an external organisation.
• Contribute to TIAS interdisciplinary intellectual life and attend regular TIAS meetings and events.
• Disseminate research results in multiple formats and venues.
