BNB - Business Network Builders in Madrid seeks a skilled Workday Extend Consultant/Developer to design, develop, test and deploy custom Workday Extend applications. You will translate business needs into scalable solutions and contribute to reusable assets for multiple clients.

You will join multilingual, international delivery teams, collaborate with stakeholders, follow security best practices, stay current with Workday releases, and explain technical concepts clearly to functional colleagues

Role Overview: Passionate Application Developer

Role

While this specific vacancy is for our Workday Extend Consultant role, at BNB we actually have two distinct paths within our Extend capability:

• Workday Extend Consultant: Focused on client consulting and delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business problems, challenge requirements, and design custom, scalable solutions that automate processes and enhance user experience.
• Workday Extend Developer: Focused on product innovation. In this path, instead of working on client-specific developments, you will focus on building general, reusable assets, templates, and accelerators that can be applied to multiple clients later.

Key Responsibilities

→ Your Main Mission: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend to automate business processes and improve user experience.

→ The Challenge: Translate complex business problems into scalable, sustainable technical solutions, unlocking incremental value beyond standard ERP functionality.

• Solution Design: Analyze client pain points and requirements to design maintainable solutions. Prioritize standard Workday features before recommending custom Extend developments.
• Workday Extend Delivery: Lead the full application lifecycle (design, build, UI/logic configuration, testing, and deployment) ensuring scalable, documented, and high-quality results.
• Technical Consulting: Partner with clients in workshops to clarify technical needs, share progress updates, provide estimations, and translate technical concepts for functional audiences.
• Integration & Quality: Work with web services (REST, JSON, GraphQL) and APIs, collaborating across teams to ensure proper integration, testing, and alignment with the broader Workday landscape.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Workday releases, contribute to internal templates/accelerators, and utilize AI and BNB tools to optimize delivery speed and documentation.

Qualifications And Profile

This is a strong opportunity for a technically oriented Analyst, Consultant or Senior Consultant who wants to grow within the Workday ecosystem and become part of BNB’s Extend capability.

Essential

• Technical background in software development, systems implementation, integrations, or related fields.
• Knowledge of web technologies and data formats such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and ideally GraphQL.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and security concepts such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, certificates, roles, and permissions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex requirements into structured solution components.
• Ability to learn Workday Extend and broader Workday platform concepts quickly and apply them in real client scenarios.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to functional consultants, project teams, and customers.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Ownership mindset, with the ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks, follow up proactively, and deliver with minimal rework.

Highly Valued

• Previous experience with Workday Extend development.
• Workday certification or willingness and ability to certify in Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Integrations, or related areas.
• Experience in Workday implementations, AMS, or customer enablement contexts.
• Familiarity with Workday products such as HCM, Finance, or Planning.
• Experience with Workday integrations, Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, BIRT, Prism, or reporting.
• Previous consulting or professional services experience.
• Ability to work in multilingual and international delivery environments.
• Professional fluency in Spanish, French, or Italian in addition to English.
• Curiosity for AI, automation, reusable assets, and productivity tools that improve delivery efficiency.
