Amazon Web Services (AWS) is offering a Work Based Learning Program to train Data Center Technicians at facilities in Huesca or Zaragoza, Spain. This 12-month trainee position combines hands-on work with structured training, safety certifications, and performance milestones.

Successful trainees will join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, report to site leadership, and gain practical experience in server hardware, network troubleshooting, and incident response in a fast‑paced data

• Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems is a plus.

• Identify and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
• Complete the 12-month Work Based Learning Program curriculum with safety certifications and milestones.

Work Based Learning Program - Data Center Technician

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This trainee position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between April and June 2026. Trainees will participate in our 12-month work and training program in one of our facilities in Huesca or Zaragoza.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Key job responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed or required.
• Perform server upgrades, rebuilds, and scheduled works as required.
• Work to meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
• Serve as the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
• Identify and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
• Successfully complete the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.

Physical Requirements (reasonable accommodations available)

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Tolerate working in non‑climate‑controlled environments with temperature fluctuations.

• Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
• Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
• Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.
