Amazon Operations is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Intern in Spain. You will support safety processes, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to safe and efficient operations across our facilities.

The role offers relocation support, a competitive monthly salary, and access to our extensive learning programs as part of a vibrant intern community within Amazon.

Formación

  • 41 hours per week minimum and 3-6 month internship maximum.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

  • Assist the Safety New Build Manager and the Safety Engineer in delivering safety excellent processes and operations.
  • Support safety process systems through planned inspections of buildings, machines and jobs for accident prevention.
  • Perform and update Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Analyze accident data and develop standards to prevent accidents.
  • Help develop safety procedures and train managers and associates on critical safety issues.

Job Summary

Amazon Operations is the backbone of the Amazon customer experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Familiarize and help with the organization and processes for new launches
  • Assist the Safety New Build Manager and the Safety Engineer in delivering safety excellent processes and operations
  • Support safety process systems through participation in planned inspections of buildings, machines and jobs for accident prevention
  • Perform and update Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses
  • Analyse accident data and develop standards to ensure prevention of accidents
  • Supporting investigations linked to accidents and prepare accident reports to identify preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program
  • Help to develop safety procedures and implement training programs to meet the needs of Managers and Associates in regards to critical safety issues
  • Potential relocation to the designated work location

As a Workplace Health & Safety Intern, you will be a passionate advocate for creating and delivering safe yet efficient working environments. You must have excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator, have a high sense of (internal) customer service and be able to work with cross-functional teams including Senior Management.

Internship Start Dates across the year: We are hiring interns to start anytime from January through September 2025. Each month, we'll hold 1-2 onboarding days for new hires.

Basic Qualifications
  • Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 3 to 6 month internship maximum
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
  • Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in Health & Safety, Engineering or similar discipline
  • You are currently studying or have a Máster de Prevención en Riesgos Laborales (MPRL)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
