Coty in Barcelona is offering a Visibility & Merchandising Intern position focused on permanent merchandising projects across Spain and Portugal. You will learn how luxury beauty brands are developed and implemented through furniture, layouts, and retail environments.

Formación

Visibility & Merchandising Intern - Permanent Projects

In this position, you will learn how luxury beauty brands are developed and implemented through permanent furniture, merchandising projects, and retail environments across different channels and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our Visibility & Merchandising team, you will support the development, coordination, and execution of permanent merchandising projects for luxury beauty brands across Spain and Portugal.

You will work closely with the Permanent Merchandising team, supporting the management of retail furniture projects from concept to installation. This role combines project coordination, database management, supplier follow-up, and design-related tasks, offering a unique opportunity to gain insight into the complete lifecycle of permanent retail projects.

Your main focus:

Project Coordination

• Support the management and follow-up of permanent merchandising projects.

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure projects progress according to agreed timelines.

• Track project status, identifying potential issues and escalating them when necessary.

• Support the preparation and monitoring of project documentation throughout all project phases.

• Assist in the implementation of furniture updates, refurbishments, new launches, and permanent installations.

Database & Process Management

• Maintain and update databases related to installed furniture, project status, investments, and retail assets.

• Ensure all project information is correctly documented and updated.

• Support the creation and improvement of internal processes and project tracking tools.

• Organize technical documentation, guidelines, and project records.

Design & Technical Support

• Support the review of furniture layouts, technical drawings, dimensions, and installation requirements.

• Develop a basic understanding of furniture construction, materials, finishes, and production processes.

• Evaluate different material options and design solutions according to project needs.

• Help prepare visual presentations, layouts, and explanatory documentation.

Communication & Reporting

• Prepare presentations and project updates for local and global teams.

• Download, organize, and distribute brand assets and project materials from internal platforms.

• Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Prepare documentation, reports, and explanatory guides in English.

• Support communication with Global teams regarding project approvals, updates, and implementation plans.

Project Ownership Development

• Depending on performance and development, progressively take ownership of smaller projects with increasing autonomy.

• Gain exposure to project planning, budgeting, supplier management, and implementation processes.

THE TEAM

The Visibility & Merchandising team manages permanent and temporary retail executions for multiple prestige beauty brands across Spain and Portugal.

You will work closely with marketing, sales, finance, procurement, suppliers, and global merchandising teams. This is a dynamic environment where several brands, customers, projects, and deadlines are managed simultaneously.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about design and retail environments. You enjoy combining creativity with structure and have the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Other than that, you:

• Are currently studying studies in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Product Design, Retail Design, Engineering, or similar fields.

• 30-hour availability per week.

• Have an interest in furniture design, materials, construction methods, and retail spaces.

• Possess good spatial awareness and the ability to understand dimensions, layouts, and technical documentation.

• Have strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Are comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Are proactive and capable of following projects from start to finish.

• Have strong communication skills and enjoy working with different teams and suppliers.

• Have an analytical mindset and are always looking for opportunities to improve processes.

• Have a creative eye and the ability to critically evaluate design solutions.

• Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with design software is valued (Adobe Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, etc.), although not essential.

• Have a high level of English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
