AVL in Martorell, near Barcelona, seeks an experienced engineer to support advanced vehicle experimentation and validation across powertrain, thermal management, and electronics. You will run tests, analyze data, resolve issues, and support releases for mHEV/PHEV/BEV programs.

The role covers CAN bus data acquisition, ECU testing, and automation initiatives, with occasional domestic and international test campaigns. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; German is a plus.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in vehicle validation and testing.
• Strong knowledge of powertrain, cooling, fuel systems, and vehicle electronics.
• Experience with CANoe, INCA, MDA, ODIS or equivalent tools.
• English and Spanish at professional level; German preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work on-site.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced engineer to support advanced vehicle experimentation and validation activities within the areas of powertrain (mHEV /PHEV /BEV), thermal management and electronic functions. The position covers the complete testing lifecycle, including test execution, data analysis, issue resolution and release support.

• Vehicle experimentation and validation.
• Powertrain systems: engines, transmissions, cooling and thermal management.

Profile Description

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering discipline
• Proven experience in vehicle validation, testing or experimentation activities
• Solid technical knowledge of powertrain systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and vehicle electronics.
• Experience with automotive development and diagnostic tools such as CANoe, INCA, MDA, ODIS or equivalent.
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, CANoe-CAPL) is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional level of English and Spanish. German is considered an advantage.
• Availability for occasional travel and on-site testing activities.
