Job summary

Chery Europe is seeking a Vehicle Security Operations Engineer to join our Product Digitalization team in Barcelona. You will monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across the European market, helping to build a robust VSOC capability for connected vehicles.

You will work with engineering, product, quality, aftersales, and operations teams across Europe to ensure secure vehicle services and regulatory compliance in a fast-growing automotive group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity operations experience in automotive, SOC/VSOC, threat detection or incident response.
• Experience with SIEM, IDS, security monitoring, and incident management tools.
• Knowledge of threat analysis, vulnerability management, and proactive threat hunting.
• Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156, GDPR or related cybersecurity frameworks is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in an international and cross-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity events, anomalies, incidents, and threats affecting connected vehicle ecosystems.
• Investigate and respond to security alerts, supporting root cause analysis and remediation.
• Develop and optimize detection rules and monitoring capabilities.
• Support VSOC process improvement, automation, and incident response playbooks.
• Collaborate with Europe-wide teams across engineering, product, quality, aftersales, and operations.
• Ensure secure and compliant operation of connected vehicle services in Europe.
