A global agricultural firm is seeking a VAT Manager for Spain & Portugal. This role involves managing the VAT position for entities in these countries, performing data analytics, coordinating with tax offices during audits, and improving business processes. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of VAT experience and is fluent in Spanish and English. The position allows for flexible work arrangements with regular office visits expected.
As VAT Manager Spain & Portugal, you will be part of the VAT Advisory Team and responsible for Spanish and Portuguese VAT matters. Another key aspect of the role will be performing data analytics, managing VAT related business processes and further developing the Tax Control Framework. The Tax team for this region is based in the offices in St Gugat, Spain. Flexible work arrangements can be considered, although it is expected that the office is regularly visited.
Key Accountabilities
You have strong communication skills (able to work with various stakeholders, commercial, legal, supply chain, direct tax colleagues. You can independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. Strong autonomy and strategic alignment with the team.
