Jobgether is seeking a VAS Solution Engineer in Spain to lead policy control platforms within LTE/5G environments. You will design, implement, and manage value-added service solutions, driving end-to-end ownership from requirements to deployment and support.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, vendor coordination, and complex project leadership, with remote/on-site flexibility in a modern telecom tech setting.

Formación

• Experience with telecom network technologies in GSM/UMTS/LTE environments.
• Strong knowledge of policy control, charging systems and core network components.
• Hands-on Diameter and GTP signaling experience in telecom infra.
• Solid understanding of IP networking and network architecture.
• Experience with Linux environments and SQL databases.
• Ability to manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VAS Solution Engineer based in Spain.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the evolution of critical telecom service platforms that support millions of users across modern mobile networks. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing value-added service (VAS) and policy control solutions within large-scale LTE and 5G environments. Working at the intersection of technology strategy, solution architecture, and service delivery, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to launch innovative services and enhance platform capabilities. The position provides end-to-end ownership of strategic initiatives, from requirements analysis and planning through deployment and operational support. Accountabilities

• Define and manage the development roadmap and lifecycle strategy of policy control platforms, including capacity planning, forecasting, budgeting, and technology evolution initiatives.
• Lead the delivery of new services and platform enhancements from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment and operational handover.
• Translate business objectives into scalable and reliable technical solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and technical teams.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, including technical assessments, scope definition, contract alignment, and delivery oversight.
• Support procurement and tender activities by defining technical requirements, evaluating proposals, and contributing to solution selection.
• Coordinate end-to-end implementation activities, including hardware and software delivery, deployment planning, testing, and cross-functional execution.
• Provide technical expertise on platform architecture, capabilities, and service opportunities while supporting critical production changes and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with telecom network technologies and service platforms within GSM, UMTS, LTE, or related environments.
• Strong understanding of policy control, charging systems, packet core technologies, and associated network components.
• Hands-on knowledge of Diameter and GTP signaling protocols and their application in telecom infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of IP networking concepts and network architecture principles.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments and familiarity with SQL databases.
• Ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• English proficiency at Pre-Intermediate level or higher.
• Knowledge of 5G Core architecture, large-scale data environments, or advanced Linux administration would be considered an advantage.
