Job summary

Welo Global is seeking translators to join an ongoing project, contributing to accurate and consistent Valencian-language content for customer-facing materials. This intermittent role involves ad hoc tasks throughout the year, with flexible scheduling and remote collaboration.

You will edit and review machine-translated content, rate MT quality when needed, and produce high-quality human translations to support model training and quality evaluation.

Qualifications

• Native proficiency in Valencia and strong English.
• 6-8 years of experience not required here.
• Experience in translation, localization, or MT post-editing.
• Familiarity with machine translation quality evaluation.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently in an online environment.

Responsibilities

• Edit and review MT output with high accuracy.
• Evaluate MT quality and apply severity ratings.
• Produce high-quality human translations as reference data for model training and quality evaluation.
• Follow provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements.
• Identify and report recurring MT quality issues and batch-level trends.
