Chubb Ltd. in Madrid is seeking an Underwriting Operations Technician – Offline (French Speaking) for a 12-month FTC to support offline underwriting activities and data handling. The role requires strong data processing and language skills.

You will enter data, prepare policy documentation, handle broker and internal queries, and assist with QA, testing, and tool adoption, collaborating with local teams to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent level in English and French; other European languages valued.
• Some insurance experience; desire to grow in the industry.

Job Description

Chubb is looking for an Underwriter Operations Technician – Offline to support the end-to-end processing of offline business within the UWR Centre. This role helps ensure efficient operations, accurate data handling, and strong service delivery across underwriting support activities. This is a temporary role of 12 months duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support offline underwriting operations and language-dependent branch activities.
• Enter data into underwriting and other business systems accurately and within SLA.
• Prepare policy documentation and underwriting files to meet quality and audit standards.
• Manage broker and internal queries, including credit control support and issue resolution.
• Support QA, reporting, and operational process improvements.
• Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing, and new business tools.
• Work closely with local teams, brokers, and the wider operations team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent level in English, and French. Any other european language (ideally Dutch, Italian, German or Spanish) would be highly valued.
• Some insurance experience, with a desire to grow your career in the industry.
• Good attention to detail and a strong customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and willingness to learn new systems.
• Good commands using Ms Excel and AI tools.
