Job summary

Chubb is seeking an Underwriter Operations Technician – Outwards in Madrid to support complex multinational programs. You will manage a diverse portfolio, collaborate with brokers, and ensure premium booking and program maintenance with meticulous attention to detail.

In this 12-month FTC, you will communicate with colleagues across offices, uphold service standards, and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering world-class service to clients.

Qualifications

• Professional English language skills; additional European language is required.
• Experience in underwriting support is a plus; insurance background preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; meticulous and detail oriented.
• Excellent customer service and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with underwriters and overseas offices; act as trusted advisor.
• Manage workloads per Service Level Agreements with prioritization.
• Adhere to Chubb ethical and compliance standards and quality goals.
• Prepare and maintain multinational workbooks per Global Services Dept standards.
• Support ongoing projects for process improvements in Global Services.
• Perform incidental work as priorities shift.

Chubb is seeking an Underwriter Operations Technician – Outwards to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting complex multinational programs. In this position, you will manage a diverse portfolio, collaborate with brokers and network partners, and ensure seamless program maintenance and premium booking. This a FTC 12 months role.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate and build relationships with Underwriters, overseas offices, and other Chubb staff, functioning as a trusted advisor and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Manage workloads in accordance with Service Level Agreements, showcasing time management and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards.
• Ensure multinational workbooks are prepared, maintained, and completed in accordance with the Global Services Department standards, demonstrating attention to detail and operational excellence.
• Assist with ongoing projects identified throughout the year for improvements to the Global Services Department, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform incidental work that may be required outside the scope of day-to-day work requirements, adapting to changing environments and priorities.

Qualifications

• Professional language skills in English, with an additional European language (Dutch/German/French/Italian/Swedish/Danish) being a must.
• Previous experience in an underwriting support role is a plus.
• Insurance background is preferred.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong customer service skills and a customer-centric attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to deliver and improve quality.
• Problem resolution and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.
