Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
This position is for a WRM SUPPLY TECHNICIAN. Ensures compliance of Department of Defense and Air Force directives on Material Management and War Reserve Material operations. Coordinates with the Transportation Management Office on inbound and outbound shipments. Uses the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) database to validate requisition and receive material. Other key duties include selecting items to be issued, shipped, or transferred, and conducting warehouse validations and inventories on behalf of the Air Force Accountable Officer. Performs warehouse inspection functions and works with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services for disposition or reutilization of items no longer required by custodians. This position can work in all Supply administrative and manual work areas as instructed by department managers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming supplies, equipment, and materials
- Issue supplies and equipment to authorized personnel and departments
- Conduct routine inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations
- Store materials properly to ensure safety, security, and accountability
- Track and document the movement of supplies and equipment
- Identify and report damaged, expired, lost, or excess inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs and computerized inventory systems
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand truck when authorized
- Daily use of organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on detail, accuracy and quality of work in maintaining records
- Daily use of math skills for inventory counts and record reconciliation
- Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling supplies and equipment; extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and material handling practices
- Daily use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to complete reports, tasks, and communicate with customers and co-workers.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ELP Level II
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply management, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in supply, warehouse, inventory management, or property accountability operations
- Experience using U.S. Air Force Integrated Logistics Systems-Supply (ILS-S) or similar platforms
- Familiarity with military or commercial supply regulations and policies
- Forklift training or experience operating material handling equipment
