AESC Spain is seeking a Treasury Specialist based in Madrid to oversee cash and banking activities, payments, and liquidity forecasting. You will collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure funds are available and treasury operations run smoothly.

The role requires at least 5 years of treasury experience, strong analytical skills, and good English. Occasional travel to the Navalmoral de la Mata plant site is expected as part of the role.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in treasury or cash management roles.
• Solid understanding of banking operations, SEPA, SWIFT and payment processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/TMS, preferably SAP.

• Prepare short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts.
• Improve liquidity management and processes.

AESC is a global leader in lithium‑ion and LFP battery technology, with a fast-growing footprint across Japan, the UK, France, China, and the USA—soon expanding in Spain with a €1‑billion gigafactory in Extremadura to open by 2026 and create up to 900 direct jobs in phase one. Role Purpose

We're looking for a Treasury Specialist to join our finance team in Spain. In this role, you'll help manage the company's cash, banking activities, and payment processes. You'll work closely with colleagues in Finance and Accounting to make sure funds are available when needed and that treasury operations run smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone with 5 years of treasury experience who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and improving processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast‑paced environments.

The position will be based in Madrid. The person must be open to travel with some frequency to the AESC Spain Plant Site in Navalmoral de la Mata, Extremadura.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash position and perform bank reconciliations.
• Execute domestic and international payments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Prepare short‑and medium‑term cash flow forecasts.
• Optimize liquidity management and propose process improvements.
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions and support negotiations.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams during month‑end closings and audits.
• Participate in the implementation and enhancement of Treasury Management Systems (TMS).

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury or Cash Management roles.
• Good understanding of banking operations, financial instruments, and payment processes, including SEPA and SWIFT.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP or Treasury systems. Ideally experience with SAP.
• Good English skill is a must.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an international or multinational company.
• Knowledge of financial risk management, derivatives, or hedging.
• Treasury or corporate finance certifications.
• Project and Construction experience.
