Job summary

JBT Marel, a global leader in food and beverage technology and automated systems, seeks a Treasury specialist to join the SSC Treasury team in Madrid. The role offers exposure to cash management, disbursement processing and cash accounting within an ambitious, international company.

You will prepare payment proposals, perform cash disbursement balancing, produce bank statements, provide audit support and monitor internal controls while researching and reconciling accounts payable.

Qualifications

• Studies related to Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience in bank or treasury department.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Team player with analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payment proposals and process supplier and employee payments.
• Perform cash disbursement balancing.
• Produce regular bank statements and identify items.
• Provide audit support.
• Monitor and execute internal control procedures.
• Research and reconcile accounts payable balances and vendor statements.
• Record retention, tracking and reporting for tax purposes.
• Assume other projects as needed.

The Treasury specialist will be responsible performing cash, disbursement and cash accounting activities within the SSC Treasury function.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payment proposals and process approved supplier and employee payments
• Perform cash disbursement balancing activities
• Produce bank statements on a regular basis and identify all items
• Provides audit support
• Monitor and execute internal control procedures
• Research and reconciliation of accounts payable balances and vendor statements
• Record retention, tracking and reporting for tax purposes
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

Position Requirements

• Studies related to Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
• Bank and/or Treasury Department experience
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office product suite
• Experience in accounting department
• Be an effective team player with ability to work under own initiative
• Team player with strong analytical skills, critical thinking and attention to detail

Mobility: Position based in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares) and limited travelling within European Union or USA might be required.
