Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid) is seeking a Transport & Logistics Specialist to manage inbound and outbound transport flows across Spanish sites, coordinating 3PL/4PL providers and ensuring service levels.

You will work within a cross-functional supply chain team, leveraging Power BI and TMS tools, applying Incoterms and regulatory know-how, with occasional travel across sites in Spain.

Formación

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in transport management, logistics operations, Incoterms, transport regulations, and working within a 4PL model.
• Strong customer orientation, project management capabilities, change management mindset, adaptability, and networking/communication skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Power BI, Transport Apps/TMS (e.g., TOP), Qlik, Skywise, CALM, or Google Workspace.

Responsabilidades

• Manage Inbound and Outbound transport flows for Airbus Operations Spain, ensuring service levels and customer expectations across plant-to-plant and vendor routes.
• Coordinate on-site operations and cross-plant transport processes across Spanish sites (Getafe, Illescas, Cádiz) as the primary contact for transportation logistics.
• Govern 3PL and 4PL service providers by controlling service quality, evaluating contracts, handling claims, and validating ad-hoc requests.
• Define transport specifications aligned with internal customer requirements and support annual operational planning (AOP).
• Generate operational reporting including daily tracking logs, claim status updates, and performance metrics using digital transport tools.
• Monitor logistics market trends and tools to adapt networks, optimize flows, and maintain end-to-end transport visibility.

Job Description

An opportunity for a Transport & Logistics Specialist has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid). The Transport Operations team in Spain manages General Cargo Transport Operations (air, sea, road, and train) across the internal and external supply chain network. Joining a multicultural, international network of transport managers across the UK, Germany, Spain, France, and the USA, you will support the local Transport Manager in governing the Lead Transport Provider (LTP/4PL model) and driving operational excellence for inbound and outbound flows across local manufacturing sites (Getafe, Illescas, Cádiz).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Inbound and Outbound transport flows for Airbus Operations Spain, ensuring strict adherence to service levels and customer expectations across plant-to-plant and vendor routes.
• Coordinate on-site operations and cross-plant transport processes across Spanish sites (Getafe, Illescas, Cádiz) while acting as the primary point of contact for transportation logistics.
• Govern 3PL and 4PL service providers by controlling service quality, evaluating contract compliance, managing claims/complaints, and validating change or ad-hoc requests.
• Define transport specifications aligned with internal customer requirements (Supply Chain, Logistics, Production) and support annual operational planning (AOP).
• Generate operational reporting including daily tracking logs, claim status updates, and performance metrics using digital transport tools.
• Monitor logistics market trends and tools to adapt networks, optimize flows, and maintain end-to-end transport visibility.

• Experience: Proven experience in transport management, logistics operations, Incoterms, transport regulations, and working within a 4PL model.
• Soft skills: Strong customer orientation, project management capabilities, change management mindset, high adaptability, and excellent networking and communication skills.
• Languages: Fluent level in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Technical knowledge: Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Transport Apps/TMS (e.g., TOP), Qlik, Skywise, CALM, or Google Workspace.
• Valuable / Nice to have: Knowledge of French is positively valued.
• EHS fundamentals knowledge.
• Availability to travel occasionally.
