Polk County Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for Varying Exceptionalities (Transition) to support students with diverse needs in Málaga. The role focuses on planning and delivering instruction, adapting materials, and tracking student progress.

You will collaborate with parents, staff, and agencies to ensure effective transition planning and continued student development. A Bachelor's degree and state certification are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certified, Qualified and Highly Qualified as defined by the Course Code(s) assigned.

Responsabilidades

• Plans and implements a program of instruction aligned to district courses of study.
• Creates purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on task.
• Plans a study program meeting individual student needs and fosters a conducive learning environment.
• Provides progress and interim reports as required.
• Supervises paraprofessionals, tutors, and volunteers as needed.
• Recognizes learning problems and makes appropriate referrals.
• Maintains professional knowledge and communicates effectively in oral and written form.
• Supervises students and maintains safety and order in and around the classroom.
