Polk County Public Schools seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services in a school environment, ensuring students with communication delays receive a Free and Appropriate Public Education. The role requires Florida licensure or certification and experience in public schools.

Collaboration with educators, families, and the IEP team is essential. A master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders required.
• Valid Florida certification or state license required.
• Experience in public schools.

Responsabilidades

• Prevention and Identification: provide resources and training to educators and parents; identify students needing speech and language assessments.
• Assessment and Evaluation: conduct thorough assessments and participate in IEP or related service decisions.
• Service Delivery: deliver services following evidence-based practices; maintain records and communicate progress to parents and teachers.
• Public Relations: uphold board policy and engage with the public; communicate positives of the school program.
• Professional Growth: pursue ongoing professional development and participate in in-service training.
• Student Evaluation: regularly monitor progress and adjust IEP as needed; maintain confidentiality.
• Clinical Supervision: provide oversight to SLP Assistants as per regulations.
