Synopsys, Inc. busca estudiantes de maestría en telecomunicaciones o ingeniería eléctrica para un programa de prácticas de 12 meses en Madrid. La experiencia incluye trabajar en proyectos reales, realizar simulaciones EM de alta frecuencia y colaborar con equipos globales.

Se valoran conocimientos en HFSS, Python o MATLAB, y un enfoque proactivo para traducir investigación en simulaciones reproducibles. Modalidad híbrida o en oficina en Madrid.

Formación

  • Graduación este año de maestría en telecomunicaciones o ingeniería eléctrica.
  • Conocimientos en teoría electromagnética y sistemas de alta frecuencia.
  • Experiencia con herramientas de simulación EM (especialmente Ansys HFSS).
  • Programación en Python o MATLAB, interés en automatización e IA/ML.

Responsabilidades

  • Desarrollar y apoyar microproyectos relacionados con 5G–6G y sistemas de comunicación de próxima generación.
  • Realizar simulaciones electromagnéticas de alta frecuencia (microwave, mmWave, sub-THz).
  • Investigar retos EM en miniaturización y acoplamiento de packaging y antenas.
  • Traducir temas de investigación en ejemplos y demostradores reproducibles.
  • Generar contenido educativo y materiales de aprendizaje basados en microproyectos.
  • Apoyar iniciativas internas en dominios RF/EM y colaboración académica.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Develop and support microprojects related to 5G–6G and next-generation communication systems.
  • Perform high-frequency electromagnetic simulations (microwave, mmWave, sub-THz) using Ansys HFSS and related tools.
  • Investigate electromagnetic challenges in miniaturization, high-speed interconnects, antenna design, and packaging.
  • Translate academicresearch topics into reproducible simulation examples and demonstrators for universities.
  • Generate educational content and learning materials based on developed microprojects to support teaching and academic engagement.
  • Support internal strategic initiatives in high-frequency and RF simulation domains, strengthening Synopsys’ academic presence through technical collaboration, workshops, and research-oriented deliverables.
What You’ll Need:
  • Graduating this year from a master's degree in telecommunications/ electrical engineering
  • Solid knowledge of electromagnetic theory and high-frequency systems.
  • Experience with electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools (especially Ansys HFSS).
  • Programming skills in Python or MATLAB, with an interest in automation and AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with RF, antennas, IC/PCB modeling, and advanced packaging topics (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (preferred).
  • Technical curiosity andmotivation to explore emerging technologies.
  • Clear and structured communication skills in academic, collaborative, and multicultural contexts.
  • Proactive attitude, sense of ownership, and collaborative mindset.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, domains, and methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a solid system-level perspective.
  • Creativity in developing demonstrators or translating researchinto practical simulations.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
